Anchor Standard 11: Technology Standards for Teachers
Intasc Anchor Standard 11: Effective teachers model and apply the National Educational Technology Standards for Students (NETS•S) as they design, implement, and assess learning experiences to engage students and improve learning; enrich professional practice; and provide positive models for students, colleagues, and the community. All teachers will meet the following standards and performance indicators.
1. Facilitate and Inspire Student Learning and Creativity
2. Design and Develop Digital Age Learning Experiences and Assessments
3. Model Digital Age Work and Learning
4. Promote and Model Digital Citizenship and Responsibility
5. Engage in Professional Growth and Leadership

Students in the 7th grade science class were taught to use Google drive to create Science class folders with sub folders based on topics they were studying. They were also taught to use Google Drive spreadsheet to create graphs for the Newton's 2nd law lab using the results sheet number. They were taught this technique through modeling. Finally, the last step used modeling to teach students to create conclusions using the information they had learned about Newton’s Second Law of Motion through the lab, note-taking, and videos on Google Drive Docs. Technology played a key role in the wrap of this lesson and the beginning of the lesson for Newton’s 3rd Law of Motion. The 3rd Law of Motion began by creating notes for the students with links to cosi.org where students could play interactive games that supported Newton’s 3rd Law of Motion. There was also a link to NBC learns NFL video on Newton’s 3rd Law, and finally an interactive quiz for student’s to test their knowledge on all of Newton’s Laws. My understanding of Anchore Standard 11 is displayed in the supporting artifacts below.
